Location

Gorgeous red rock formations are the main draw to Sedona, plus the charm of the town. There are many trails for the outdoor enthusiast. Decide if you want to hike or do a short walk to your elopement spot. Also consider if you like sunrise or sunset time. I know of a few amazing locations and love to scout for new ones. I am here to help you; the possibilities are endless!

Guests

Decide on how many people you want to invite. Are you wanting your dog to join? There are some places you have to shuttle to or might not allow your furry friend. This will help you decide on location too.

What would you like to do on your special day or couple day adventure?

There are a lot of choices, hike, Mt. bike, horseback ride, helicopter tour (it is amazing, I have been a couple times.) jeep tour, visit slide rock, chapel on the hill or the many vortex’.

Permits & Marriage License

There are some restricted places, like Wilderness Land, that don’t allow elopements. Majority of the trailheads you will need a parking pass. National parks restrict how many guests you can have and typically need a permit ahead of time.

Your marriage license must be obtained through the superior court, and you will need 2 witness’

Best time of year to Elope in Sedona

Summer is HOT and busy. The best recommended time is fall or spring when it is cooler, and kids are in school. During the week is the best, just like any tourist destination, the weekend gets packed.

  • There are many amazing places to stay. Do you like hotels or prefer a quiet Airbnb. Do you like being in town to walk to shops or want the outskirts. There are places with trails right out the back door.

  • The time all depends on what you want to do. I can help you decide and help you with your timeline.
