Your Questions, Answered — From Adventure Sessions to “I Do”

Whether you’re planning a mountain elopement, a barefoot family session, or a backyard wedding with your favorite humans, it’s totally normal to have a few questions. Below, I’ve gathered the things people most often wonder — from what to wear and how long sessions last, to what happens if the weather shifts or your toddler melts down mid-hike (spoiler: we keep going, and it’s still beautiful).

Do you specialize in small weddings, intimate ceremonies, and elopements?

Yes! Small weddings, micro weddings, and adventure elopements are my specialty. I love working with couples who want a more intentional, meaningful, and nature-filled experience. If your celebration is outdoors, intimate, or unconventional — I’m your photographer.

What locations do you photograph in?

I photograph all across Washington State, including the North Cascades, Mount Rainier, Olympic National Park, Leavenworth, Snoqualmie, and anywhere your adventure takes you. If you’re dreaming of a mountaintop ceremony or a secluded forest vow exchange, I can help you find the perfect spot.

How do you help couples plan an intimate or adventure wedding?

I offer timeline assistance, lighting guidance, location suggestions, permit info, and personalized recommendations to make your day stress-free and fun. For adventure elopements, I also help with weather planning, accessibility options, and backup plans.

We’re awkward in front of the camera—can you help with posing?

Absolutely! I use movement-based prompts to keep things fun, relaxed, and natural. No stiff poses here — just playful, real energy that brings out your connection.

What is your photography style?

My style is candid, adventurous, and story-driven. I focus on natural movement, real emotions, and the in-between moments that make your relationship unique. If you want photos that feel alive and authentic, you’ll love my approach.

Do you offer adventure engagement sessions?

Yes! Engagement sessions can take place in the mountains, along a trail, at a lake, or anywhere outdoors that feels like “you.” They’re perfect for couples who want adventurous, candid photos before the big day.

Do you help with permits for national parks or trail locations?

Yes — I’ll guide you through the permit process for Mount Rainier, Olympic NP, and North Cascades, plus any trail or wilderness areas that require event or photography permits.

Can our pets join the adventure session or elopement?

YES. I love dogs (and all adventure pets). Many PNW locations allow pets, and I’ll help you find the best pet-friendly spots.

Do you recommend getting an album?

I highly recommend ordering a wedding album. It is such a beautiful way to display your day.

I started offering albums because too many couples were not printing out their photos. I believe you should be able to look at and easily show off your Special Day. Luxury Albums are handmade in the USA. I personally design them with your favorite photos. Click here to see sample albums.

What to wear for our photos?

Please make sure you will be comfortable, so you will feel good, which will show in your photos. Please consider only one person wearing a pattern and all others complementing colors. No Bright colors like hot pink, that will take away from the focus of you.

Do you offer a 2nd Photographer or Videographer with your Collections?

A second Photographer is an add-on, that couples can choose. We can decide together if you may need or want one. It depends on your guest count and what you are looking for. At this time, I don’t offer Videography, photography is an art and takes full attention.

How do you back up our photos?

My main camera has 2 memory cards, and I have a second camera. Once your wedding is captured, I upload to a hard drive and to cloud storage. You will receive the edited photos on a USB & online gallery for sharing, ordering prints and download.

How long until we receive our gallery?

The Average time for a full wedding gallery is 6-8 weeks, sometimes up to 10 weeks, during the prime wedding season. You will receive sneak peeks in the first week. For families, high school seniors, and all other photo shoots, it is 1-2 weeks.
